Permablitz
A permablitz, or ‘blitz’ is a congregation of community members who come together to create incredible things. In the words of it’s founder, Permablitz Melbourne, Permablitz is “…an informal gathering involving a day on which a group of at least two people come together to achieve the following: create or add to edible gardens. share skills related to permaculture and sustainable living.”
Who can host a blitz?
In order to host your own blitz you must be a registered member of the Permaculture Calgary Guild. We ask that you participate in at least 2 permablitzes prior to hosting your own. We ask that you come to two or more blitzes in advance so that you:
- Get an idea of what to expect on a blitz
- Learn some relevant skills
- Demonstrate enough drive to show that you’ll maintain your garden
- Contribute to the permablitz network
- Build community!
Once you are part of the group and put in your “time” we’ll help organize and promote a blitz for you. You don’t need a lot of skills, just a commitment to give it a try.
