April 5 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

- Free

It’s time for the monthly movie collaboration! The Permaculture Calgary Guild and The Green Sanctuary Committee get together once a month to watch a thought-provoking movie, have some snacks followed by thoughtful discussion… Join us for this controversial film.

Modified is a first-person documentary-memoir that questions why genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are not labeled on food products in Canada and the United States despite being labeled in 64 countries around the world. Interweaving the personal and the political, the film presents an intimate mother-daughter investigative journey fueled by a shared love of food. The film ultimately reveals the extent to which industrial interests control our food policies.

Winner of 6 festival awards. Directed and produced by Aube Giroux / Executive Producer Camelia Frieberg.

As always entry is free, but donations will be gratefully accepted at the door to cover costs! See you there!

Bring a dessert or appetizer to share.

Doors open 6:30, coffee and edibles at 6:40, film at 7:00, discussion to follow.
