About Us

The Calgary Permaculture Community Group formed to encourage and promote permaculture in Calgary.  Every month, we feature an engaging speaker who brings his or her own expertise and experience in an informative skill-building session in topics ranging from urban beekeeping, mead making to mushroom propagation, and everything in between!

Permaculture Calgary members also participate in Permaculture Energy Transfers (PET) days, where we get together and help establish or simply maintain a member's garden or project.  This serves as an excellent opportunity for members to pick up practical experience in permaculture. Help someone out on a PET day for three times and you will have an army of help arrive at your door!

In addition to our newsletter, our members have access to our skills registry, where we match your needs with another member's yields. Our growing membership contains many skilled and talented individuals, so as a member you'll have access to a diverse assembly of expertise.
